The Alliance Française Team
The Alliance Française de Sydney is managed by a diverse team of full-time, part-time and casual staff.
Reception
The first point of contact for most people when they visit the Alliance Francaise is the reception.
This is the centre of all information. In addition to running the course enrolments and managing the students, the receptionists promote the cultural events to members, students and visitors, as well as coordinating the marketing of the Alliance Francaise through the website and the monthly newsletter.
Media Centre
The staff and volunteers at the Media Centre are delighted to assist with borrowing books, DVDs, CDs, and magazines.
Administrative Staff
A small core of administrative staff are located on Level 2. The admin staff manage the cultural events, the teachers and courses, the schools programs, and the day to day activities.
Teaching Staff
The teaching staff is made up of 25 native French speakers. Together they teach over 600 students each session.
Interns
We frequently welcome students from France who spend 3 months, 6 months or 9 months completing internships. Spending time abroad working in an organisation is a course requirement in French universities. The interns make an invaluable contribution to the Alliance Francaise. They may undertake specific assignments or work as cultural assistants on a variety of projects and events.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is made up of 16 francophone individuals who are elected annually. The Board of Directors are all volunteers. Their varied backgrounds assist the Alliance Française in delivery of its core activities such as education and cultural events.
