Conditions of Enrolment

Student Membership
Student membership of the Alliance Française Sydney is automatic upon enrolment in any course. It is valid for the duration of the course and the following two months. Please bring your receipt to the first class and keep your membership card handy when you wish to borrow books, CDs or videos and/or buy tickets for our cultural events at special student rates.

Fees
No enrolment is confirmed unless 100% of the course fee is paid. Please note that fees cannot be refunded or transferred in the case of cancellation by the student less than two days before the course starts. The Alliance Française Sydney cannot be held responsible for changes in the students’ work commitments or personal circumstances. Course fees cannot be transferred to private lessons. Fees do not include textbooks unless otherwise specified. All prices are inclusive of GST.

In case of withdrawal from a course in the middle of a session and a request for a transfer of the remaining credit to another session in the same year is made:

the approval of the School Director is required
an administrative fee of $80 will be incurred.

Classes
The average size for each class is 12 students and the maximum class size is 16. Any course may be cancelled or reorganised by the Alliance Française if there are insufficient numbers (fees paid will be reimbursed in this case). Minimum class size is 8. For classes with less than 7 students, the course fee could remain the same but the teaching hours of the course could be reduced (the course program will be the same but it will be covered at a faster pace).

Please note:
Classes will not be held on New South Wales public holidays.
These classes will be rescheduled at a suitable time in the session.

Student members of the Alliance Française Sydney do not have any voting rights at any of the meetings of the Alliance Française Sydney.
