Every year the Alliance Francaise holds special events to celebrate important dates in the French national and cultural calendars. These events coincide with the celebration of such days as the National Day,  “La Fete Nationale”,  known also as Bastille Day, the annual national mid-summer Music Festival in June, “La Fete de la Musique”, and the autumn release of the new vintage of Beaujolais wine in November, known as “Le Beaujolais Nouveau”.  These are informal gatherings with a lively party atmosphere, often with entertainment, dancing and terrific music.
