French for Secondary School Students & Kids
Fun classes for children and secondary school students at the Alliance Française.
French For Kids provides our younger learners the opportunity to learn French through a stimulating program, teaching children to communicate in French through games, songs and diverse hands-on activities.
Our high school program is based on the syllabi of the NSW Board of Studies and there is a particular focus on oral communication at every level.
How does it work?
Our program is based on the syllabi of the NSW Board of Studies as well as the Australian Language Levels guidelines. Classes enable students to practise those skills that non-Francophone speakers find most difficult to acquire: listening and speaking.
As the abilities of students in the language can vary regardless of their school year, they are graded according to the number of years that they have studied French. We also take into account whether students have undertaken a 3-month exchange in France.
Level 1 Beginners / First year in French
Level 2 Second year of study in French
Level 3 Third year of study / Beginning of fourth year
Level 4 Fourth year of study in French or over
Please be advised that students must have the written permission of their parents or guardian should they need to leave the Alliance Française premises before their class is scheduled to finish.
