High School Students & Kids Courses
Fun classes for children and secondary school students at the Alliance Française.
Courses for Kids and High School students provide our younger learners with the opportunity to learn French through a stimulating program, teaching children to communicate in French through games, songs and a variety of hands-on activities.
Our high school program is based on the NSW Board of Studies syllabus which has a particular focus on oral communication at every level, as well as the Australian Language Levels guidelines. Classes enable students to practice those skills that non-Francophone speakers find most difficult to acquire: listening and speaking. All teachers are qualified French native speakers and our school enables students to prepare and pass official accreditation.
As the language abilities of students can vary regardless of their school year, they are graded according to the number of years that they have studied French. We also take into account whether students have undertaken an exchange in France.
Please be advised that students must have the written permission of their parents or guardian should they need to leave the Alliance Française premises before their class is scheduled to finish.
The Alliance Française de Sydney is responsible for allocating the students into the class that best corresponds to their language level and needs. Any change of class requires the approval of the teacher and the education manager. Students are reminded that they cannot choose a particular class or teacher. As teachers have extensive experience, every effort will be made to maintain high standards of teaching and smooth transition from one session to another or replacement of a teacher.
