A French language and cultural workshop suitable for Years 9 - 12. Activities have been designed to stimulate students’ interest in The French Revolution, enabling students to gain a sense of "the people’s" indignation with absolute monarchy!

Students discover the songs of the Revolution, compose their own cahier de doléance and create a “cocarde révolutionnaire” or “bonnet phrygien”. They understand why the events of 1789 have had such an impact on history, French identity and the popular imagination.
