10.30am to 12.30pm, with a half-hour break for students' croissant and chocolat chaud.
Overview:
Let your students discover the cultural icons of Paris!
Students become acquainted with French celebrities, discover France's regional diversity and learn about significant French events and celebrations
Introduce your students to the Alliance Française de Sydney (Le Grand Café, our Media Centre... )
Boosts students' confidence to communicate in French, as they interact and problem-solve in teams to score points
The Cultural Discovery workshop includes a French “petit déjeuner” in Le Grand Café, by Bécasse
Enhance your students' knowledge and awareness of French culture through their participation in this dynamic language and cultural workshop! Students compete in teams to score points through games using our interactive whiteboards, including French jeopardy and a guessing game featuring monuments in Paris. The workshop includes an internet rally in our language laboratory.

Fees:
$30.00 per student non-member schools.
Additional details:
- At least one year of prior French study is required for students to participate; all activities are conducted in French, using an immersion approach.
- Minimum 10 students per group. If registration is for less than 10 students, booking considerably in advance is advised so your school's group may be put on a waiting list; the workshop will be confirmed once we have another school registering for the same session to make up the required number of registrations.
- Max. 36 students per session (3 groups of 12), due to a proportion of the workshop taking place in our language laboratory, equipped for 12 students at a time.
- No charge for accompanying teacher(s).
BOOKING AND FULL PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED AT LEAST TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE DATE OF THE EXCURSION.
Please advise whether students have already participated in the Cultural Discovery workshop in order to avoid repetition of activities.
