The Alliance Française de Sydney offers an opportunity for members of the French and Australian community to participate in a range of educational, cultural and social activities for one year.

Members receive discounts at all AF functions
Annual events include the Bastille Day Ball, the arrival of the recently harvested wine Beaujolais Nouveau, the Fete de la Musique, and the Soirée de la Francophonie. These are all popular events which attract French speaking and non-French speaking members and their friends, students and cultural partners. There are many other events during the year: art exhibitions, conferences, film nights, wine and cheese tastings...

Alliance Française French Film Festival
2 - 21 March 2010
The biggest event on the Alliance Française calendar is the AF French Film Festival. This is held over a 2 week period in Sydney, and 4 weeks nationally. All AF members receive discounted tickets to all films, as well as advance notice of special member only screenings, as well as discounted special offers through out the year. Media Centre
Members are able to borrow DVDs, CDs and books FREE of charge.

Monthly e-newsletter
Our monthly e-news will detail all up-coming events, either organised by the AF or by one of our cultural partners; new acquisitions in the Media Centre; or discounted / free tickets to the Australian Opera, Sydney Symphony, Sydney Opera House, Company B, State Library of NSW, Marais Project, or from film distributors such as Madman, Hopscotch, or Palace Films, and more!

Most importantly the e-news will keep you abreast of our courses in French language (Beginners - Advanced), themed courses on food, wine, literature, art, fashion, and film... the list goes on!
