EUROPEAN FRAMEWORK
Courses at the Alliance Française de Sydney are structured to satisfy the “Common European Framework of Reference for Languages” and offer an original approach to teaching, centred on the learner, in small groups, both in classrooms and language labs.
The Common European Framework of Reference was compiled on the initiative of the Council of Europe with the aim of achieving greater uniformity and transparency in foreign language learning amongst the European member states. This serves to improve mobility within the member states, to make it easier to recognize each other’s language certificates, and to promote co-operation between educational establishments in the various countries. Now, all over the world, the Common European Framework of Reference defines attainment levels for identifying language proficiency in the fields of communicative proficiency, active and receptive skills, and language proficiency for specific tasks.
MULTIMEDIA
At the Alliance Française de Sydney technology is integrated into the teaching of the language. A dedicated language laboratory boasting high quality technological equipment is available to students for remediation, extension work or to practise their skills with innovative software.
