Chers amis,
Hervé Devoulon, Directeur | May 2008 Dear Friends,
These are the lyrics of a singer who actually didn't care much for protesting in the streets... Georges Brassens. Forty years later, we are giving you the opportunity to debate with Elizabeth Rechniewski, senior lecturer at the University of Sydney, and her special guests on the topic: "What is left of May 1968?" We'll be displaying posters from the period and presenting a documentary about this event.
The Alliance Française will have the pleasure of welcoming writer Philippe Claudel as part of the Sydney Writers' Festival 2008 - a must for all lovers of French language and literature.
In May, do whatever takes your fancy... come to the Alliance!
Hervé Devoulon, General Manager
