Decembre 2008

Chers amis,

Directeur
December 2008

Dear friends,

Next January, the Alliance Française de Sydney will offer several new courses to our students; courses of a superior level for all those who wish to further improve their linguistic competencies, courses for early risers and for those who wish to ascertain certification of their level of French. On our website www.afsydney.com.au, in our brochures or with the assistance of your friendly receptionists Céline, Finola and Laure, you will receive useful information so that you’ll start 2009 on a good francophone note. But before making any big resolutions at the start of the new year, there will be end-of-year celebrations, moments of familial tenderness and fun-filled evenings among cherished friends.

Happy holidays to all!

Hervé Devoulon,
Director

Au Programme
23 Nov - 19 December
Exhibition & Sale of Art Work
For your Christmas presents, the famous art dealer and long-time friend of the Alliance Française de Sydney, Serge Bossuge, will sell some rare works selected from his private collection. Among these are lithographs by the renowned French romantic artist Honoré Daumier; drawings tenderly rendered by Peynet; the maginificent Provencal countryside depicted by St Tropez painter Philippe Giraudo; and finally the works of Biggibilla, the very famous Aboriginal artist. Every work will be sold with its certificate. Be sure not to miss this unique opportunity!

AF Gallery, Mon to Thu 9am to 7pm, Fri 9am to 5pm and Sat 9am to 2pm. All welcome.

What’s new with our courses?
In 2009, Alliance Française de Sydney will offer General French courses on Monday and Wednesday mornings, as well as on Saturday early afternoon. These new times will be opened to superior levels, with the accompanying book Alter Ego. All skills of French will be studied in this new course, thanks to a recent method that addresses contemporary French civilisation as well.

For those who prefer a no-stress conversation class before going to work, a new option will be available from 8.15am to 9.15am.

And finally, if you want to validate your knowledge in French through French certification (Delf/Dalf), we offer specific courses starting 8 weeks before the exams:
- Preparation for Delf exams (from level 9)
- Preparation for Dalf exams (from level 12)
These courses will start January 19th.
Be quick to enrol to be part of our educational yet fun Alliance Française classes! In the meantime, enjoy the break, Joyeux Noël!

We will be closed from Sat 20 Dec 2008 to Mon 5 Jan 2009.
