Each year during the third week of March, the International Day of La Francophonie gathers lovers of the French language all around the world.
The 2017 edition shows how French adapts to constantly changing technologies and digital behaviours in the contest 'Tell me Ten Words… in French / Dis-Moi Dix Mots en Français'.
Most of the words chosen this year have a double meaning: they can both be applied to real life and digital worlds. The French Language Week is an opportunity for the general public to show their love of the French language by celebrating its richness and diversity.
The Alliance Française de Sydney, the Consulate General of Switzerland in Sydney, the Consulate General of Canada in Sydney and The Belgian Trade Office in Sydney are organizing a NSW state-wide photo contest focusing on 10 French words which invite you to discover French language as it evolves and changes to adapt to new realities and habits.
The participants are invited to submit a photo inspired by one of the ten French words from 3 January 2017 to 21 February 2017.
The public is invited to vote from 27 February to 11 March 2017 for their favorite photo between the top 50 photos selected by the jury.
