GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERNSHIP

ALLIANCE FRANCAISE DE SYDNEY

Alliance Française de Sydney is looking for a creative graphic designer to
join the team on an internship basis for up to 20 hours a week for 4 months

The Alliance Française de Sydney is an independent, not-for-profit language and cultural organisation and as such offers a large variety of French classes since 1895. It belongs to the Alliances Françaises network with 1040 centres in 136 countries around the world.

We are seeking a graphic designer who uses their drive, energy and attention to detail to design brilliant and exciting representations of the Alliance Française.

The Role:

  • Designing Alliance Française creative across a broad range of marketing and advertising mediums – web, social media, print…
  • Assist Marketing Manager in building strong, effective and engaging social media content and materials
  • Designing exciting banners for home webpage and overall website
  • Work closely with Marketing Manager to create engaging and fun promotional material for a big calendar of cultural events
  • Assisting in the creation of newsletter materials in line with company brand and style
  • Working within the team to brainstorm marketing concepts
  • Assist Marketing Manager in implementing structured marketing campaigns and schedule

About You:

  • Creative front end design skills working with Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash
  • Ability to understand needs and translate them into visual communication
  • Good general computing knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organisational skills with attention to details
  • Reliable and organised
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to work under pressure and on deadlines
  • Previous experience in liaising with the printing process preferred

The internship is not paid. Transport and lunch expenses for the total duration and days of work of the internship are covered by the Alliance Française of Sydney.

Candidates must hold a valid work visa or a working holiday visa.
