The Alliance Française de Sydney is looking for a Festival Coordinator to work on the Alliance Française French Film Festival 2019.
The Alliance Française currently has an exciting opportunity for a Festival Coordinator to join our small and dynamic team for 6 months.

The Festival Coordinator will be in charge of events, marketing and sponsorship management in order to deliver an outstanding festival to the audience.
The lists of duties that will be expected to be executed in the 6 months include, but are not limited to:
Provide support and execute marketing and communication strategies for the Festival
Assist with the creation and production of marketing materials: flyers, programme, website update, e-newsletter
Manage content for Festival social networks and EDM
Manage cross communication with festival sponsors and partners (editorial, ticket sales promotions, giveaways etc.)
Manage Festival website creation with Festival website developer and graphic designer and manage daily updates
Liaise with local and national sponsors and make sure all the obligations of AF FFF to the sponsors are met (e.g. brand visibility on
festival’s promotional materials, display of sponsors’ materials in cinemas, organisation of private screenings etc.).
Assist with the preparation, organisation and running of Festival events (setup, general logistics, coordination for Opening Night, Closing
Night, Special Events and Private screenings)
Overall organisation of the Festival:
Participate in meetings with sponsors and partners, and in internal discussions on achievements and strategies
Writing up of internal documents and reports
Liaise with local festival teams and festival venues
The successful applicant
We are looking for a graduate with a background in business and cultural studies. The successful applicant must have a passion for the arts (especially cinema) and speak English fluently, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The other requirements are:

Positive and hardworking attitude
Ability to work autonomously
A ‘can do’ and hands on attitude
Ability to work under pressure and on deadlines
Previous experience in communication & project management preferred
Previous experience in working for a cultural event/film festival highly regarded
