The Alliance Française de Sydney is looking for a Marketing and Events Coordinator

​The Alliance Française currently has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing and Events Coordinator to join our small and dynamic team for 12 months renewable.

Job description

The Marketing and Events Coordinator will be in charge of marketing, events, and partnerships for the Alliance Française de Sydney reporting to the Marketing end Events Manager.

Responsibilities include increasing brand awareness, database management, business development French courses, event management, communications, membership program management.

Other duties include:

​MARKETING​

  • Provide support and execute marketing strategies for all courses and membership 
  • Print and digital advertising
  • Management of client database
  • Loyalty programs for members and students
  • Analysis and survey of customer relations


​COMMUNICATION​

  • Manage social media channels and cross communication with partners
  • Manage website, daily updates and content
  • Development of marketing materials in collaboration with graphic designer
  • Design and distribution of EDM and newsletters
  • Public & press relations


​EVENT MANAGEMENT​

  • Conception, preparation, organisation and running of internal and external events (setup, budget, general logistics, coordination)


​SPONSORSHIP AND PARTNERSHIPS 

  • Liaise with local partners to ensure that all the AF’s partnership obligations are fulfilled
  • Follow up and develop new partnerships with cultural institutions and French companies in Sydney, for members’ and students’ benefits, cross promotion and giveaways.
  • Analysis of French events in Sydney to develop partnerships.


Successful applicant

  • Fluent in written and spoken English

  • Interested in French culture

  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in Marketing/ Communication / Project Management

  • Good organisational skills

  • Reliable and organised

  • Creative, proactive and team player

  • Ability to work independently

  • A ‘can do’ and hands on attitude

  • Ability to work to deadlines

  • Computer literacy in MS Office suite, websites and social media sites
