TALK: Terra Australis, A Graphic Novel Odyssey

Join us for this special evening to meet and talk with Laurent-Frédéric Bollée, comic books writer and author of TERRA AUSTRALIS and TERRA DOLORIS. Released in Western Europe in 2013 and 2018 respectively, the two volumes tell the true story of the founding of modern Australia.

In TERRA AUSTRALIS, a massive 500-page book, readers could discover why and how the British First Fleet set sail for Port Jackson in 1787. In TERRA DOLORIS, they will discover the incredible journeys of two great characters, Mary Bryant and Thomas Muir. Both share the tenacious will of having escaped from the colony and defied the British authorities.

LF Bollée has been working on this project for a dozen years now and will be available at Alliance Française to share his passion for Australia and explain his day-to-day work to create such a successful and critically-acclaimed piece of work – TERRA AUSTRALIS has sold more than 12,000 copies since its release in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Canada, Great Britain and Germany.

Glass of wine is included upon arrival.
