Da Vinci Talks: rediscover European art icons brought to Australia


Discover or rediscover major European art icons with the Da Vinci Talks, a 3-day series of art talks hosted by Paris-based art commentator and certified national speaker-guide Jacques Le Roux.

Embark on a three-day journey to uncover the ongoing legacies of these three artistic icons with art commentator Jacques Le Roux. A Q&A session led by Matthew Westwood, the chief arts correspondent of The Australian newspaper, will round off the talks.

PROGRAMME

On Tuesday 26 November, learn how Leonardo Da Vinci’s life and forward thinking still resonate with our time.

On Wednesday 27 November, the Notre Dame Talk will look back on the extraordinary fate of the most iconic monument from the Middle Ages, Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral, and reveal its impact on the collective psyche.

On Thursday 28 November, dig deeper with the Renaissance Talk on the Renaissance masters – Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael – and discover how these artists embody various approaches to entrepreneurship and work ethic.

NATIONAL SPEAKER-GUIDE JACQUES LE ROUX

Jacques Le Roux is the Paris-based Director of Content for Point Parole, a cultural agency – now part of the Beaux Arts & Cie media group – that he founded in 2015 to offer the services of multilingual arts historians as guides to corporate events held in museums and cultural sites.

Jacques has worked for the cultural department of the Musée du Louvre, has degrees in Art History (Ecole du Louvre) and Economics (Paris II Assas), and is a certified national speaker-guide.
