In her latest dance-theatre ensemble work, French choreographer, Cloé Fournier,
re-evaluates the plasticity of the body as a technological landscape in scrutiny of the female form.
Fuelled by a science-fiction trans-human narrative, Fournier develops a movement aesthetic that blends and stretches contemporary and French folk-dance vocabularies to the extreme. Mea Culpa displays an uncanny microcosm of seven female bodies exploring and exploiting the idea of the human machine: part-mechanical, part-human.
