Sydney’s newest five-star hotel, Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour, will launch their “Salons” dinner series on Wednesday 11 April with a lively panel discussion on the customs of French society and its enduring appeal to Australians.
French food, fashion, romance and daily rituals will be up for humorous debate as three celebrated female Australian authors - Sarah Turnbull (Almost French 2002) Jane De Teliga (Running Away 2014) and Katrina Lawrence (Paris Dreaming 2017) - discuss the ups and downs of living in France.
This fast-paced conversation session will be moderated by fellow journalist and author Caroline Baum.
The event will be held in Atelier, the stylish French restaurant at Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour which specialises in combining the flavours of the South of France with locally sourced produce.
With only 60 places available, guests will have the chance to enjoy this intimate event, reflective of the famous Parisian Salons held up until the 1940s where lively discussion was held for small invitation only groups on a range of topics from music to literature.
