Paris has always been the considered the epicentre of the fashion world, and designers such as Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent and Coco Chanel have had immense global reach throughout the 20th and 21st centuries, influencing generations of Australian women.

Kirstie Clements, former editor in chief of Vogue Australia examines the relationship between the traditional couture house, the ready to wear catwalks and the new commercial realities of fashion, and asks if Paris still ranks as the most fashionable city on earth.
