Neuilly Sa Mère

Every year, our teachers put together a workshop for the French extension HSC students. It is a supplementary study of the NESA prescribed text, taught by a native French teacher. The objective is to add more details, different perspectives, and a cultural dimension to what has already been learnt during the year.

Teachers may organise to attend this workshop as a class excursion, or students may enrol individually into the fixed sessions below.

Film context: study of the socio-cultural background of France. France-Algeria History: Study of the political and diplomatic relationship between France and Algeria from 1830 until now. Immigration in the media: how artists and comedians talk about social and cultural integration

Slang: discover or re-discover French contemporary slang

Content: French extension Year 12

Third session on Friday 6 September 2019 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm
