The Alliance Française currently has an exciting opportunity for a Festival Assistant to join our small and dynamic team for 6 months.

Job description

The Festival Assistant will support the Festival team across a broad range of   events, marketing, communication and sponsorship management in order to deliver an outstanding festival to the audience.

The lists of duties that will be expected to be executed in the 6 months include, but are not limited to:


  • Sourcing of film material: images, synopsis, quotes, trailers
  • Provide support to the team to deploy email and social media campaign
  • Assist in updating the website
  • Assist the team with other admin and marketing tasks as required
  • Provide daily sales report during the Festival period
  • Provide support with the preparation, organisation and running of Festival events
  • Manage and train a team of volunteers 


The successful applicant

We are looking for a graduate with a background in business and cultural studies. The successful applicant must have a passion for the arts (especially cinema) and speak English fluently, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The other requirements are:

  • Reliable and organised
  • Creative, Proactive and team player
  • Positive and hard-working attitude
  • A ‘can do’ and hands on attitude
