The Alliance Française currently has an exciting opportunity for a Festival Coordinator to join our small and dynamic team for 7 months.

Job description

The Festival Coordinator will be in charge of events, marketing, communication and sponsorship management in order to deliver an outstanding festival to the audience.

The lists of duties that will be executed in the 7 months include, but are not limited to:


  • Provide support to the team for marketing and communication strategies for the Festival
  • Assist with the creation and production of marketing materials: flyers, programme, website update, e-newsletter
  • Manage content for Festival social networks and EDM 
  • Manage cross communication with festival sponsors and partners (editorial, ticket sales promotions, giveaways etc.)
  • Manage Festival website creation with Festival website developer and graphic designer and manage daily updates


  • Liaise with local and national sponsors and make sure all the obligations of AF FFF to the sponsors are met (e.g. brand visibility on festival’s promotional materials, display of sponsors’ materials in cinemas, organisation of private screenings etc.)


  • Assist with the preparation, organisation and running of Festival events (setup, general logistics, coordination for Opening Night, Closing Night, Special Events and Private screenings)


  • Participate in meetings with sponsors and partners, and in internal discussions on achievements and strategies
  • Writing up of internal documents and reports
  • Liaise with local festival teams and festival venues


The successful candidate

We are looking for candidates with 2 years experience in marketing/communication or project management. The successful applicant must have a passion for the arts (especially cinema) and speak English fluently, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Previous experience in communication & project management preferred
  • Previous experience in working for a cultural event/film festival highly regarded
