French Market, Killarney Heights: Enjoy a piece of France

Join thousands of Francophones and Francophiles from Sydney and surrounding areas at Killarney Heights Public School’s oval for a great day of food, fashion, homewares, small vintage furniture, a historical re-enactment, music and rides, at the 14^th annual French Market in Killarney.

Browse 60+ stalls of professional merchants selling French items such as saucissons, foie-gras, pâtés and other terrines; macarons, croissants, baguettes; French cheeses; books, magazines, DvDs and Blu-Rays in French language; jewellery and fashion accessories inspired by French culture; French vintage small furniture and poster reproductions; and so on.

This market is also a festival to celebrate all things French with food to eat on site such as a merguez (sausage) barbecue, raclette, sweet and savoury crêpes, French fries, waffles and croque-monsieurs, while listening to some French music in the background. Rides, games and face painting will enchant the younger crowd.

The market attracts an estimated 7000 visitors per year, and members of FANS (The French-speaking Association of the North Shore) will be baking up a storm and donating quiches, cakes and other treats to be sold at the market and raise funds for the French-English bilingual program run at the school.
