A message from our President

Dear members, friends and supporters,

As 2025 draws to a close, I’d like to pause and reflect on this remarkable year, one filled with energy, community, and a touch of "joie de vivre". On behalf of the Board of Directors, thank you for your continued enthusiasm and support for the Alliance Française de Sydney.

This year, we proudly celebrated the 130th anniversary of the Alliance Française de Sydney, "130 ans d’histoire, de langue et de culture partagées".

It was a milestone that honoured our heritage while showcasing the dynamism of our community today. From full classrooms to vibrant cultural events, the year has been rich in encounters and creativity.

I would like to extend my warm thanks to our dedicated board, whose guidance and expertise continue to strengthen our institution.

Our language school remains at the heart of our mission. Thanks to the energy of our management and operational team and the excellence of our teaching staff, whose commitment continues to shape the success of our organisation, our students "(du débutant au niveau avancé)" continue to experience French learning of the highest quality. Their commitment ensures that the Alliance Française de Sydney remains a reference point for French language education and francophone cultures.

Our cultural program this year was equally vibrant. From "lively soirées", talks and exhibitions to another successful edition of the Alliance Française French Film Festival, 2025 has offered many moments that brought our community closer to French and francophone creativity. Merci to all who joined us.

And now, "en route vers 2026"!

The coming year will build on this momentum with new projects, expanded learning opportunities, and cultural initiatives designed to surprise, delight, and inspire. Expect more opportunities to connect, more ways to learn, and more occasions to celebrate what unites us: a shared love of language, culture, and community.

Thank you once again for being part of the AF Sydney family. I look forward to seeing many of you in 2026, whether in our classrooms, at a film screening, or perhaps over a glass of "vin" at one of our upcoming events.

Wishing you and your families a bright start to the new year, "bonne année et à très bientôt!"
