During this online conference, Marie Chrétien revisits for a second time an extraordinary exhibition from the Musée d’Orsay and South Australia Art Gallery, which includes 65 of the museum’s most treasured paintings by Monet, Manet, Renoir, Pissaro and others.
Marie will explore the ways this exhibition offers a fresh perspective on Impressionism focusing on the colours used by the artists at key stages of their careers, and revealing how revolutionary the Impressionists were in their quest to represent the modern world.
Marie has a keen interest in Art, having graduated from Sydney University with a Master of Art in 2014 and winning the Francis Stuart Prize. She is currently a Council Member of the Power Institute of Sydney University and the Vice-President of the Alliance Francaise de Sydney.
In addition, she has an engineering degree (Paris) and an MBA (Macquarie University) under her belt, and has spent 20 years in the energy industry, both in France and Australia.
