These workshops are run in French (unless indicated otherwise), and offer some instruction on grammar and vocabulary followed by a presentation and class discussion on the particular theme.

In this 3-hour workshop, you will discover the world of Marie-Antoinette and her influence on fashion at the court of Versailles. We will start with a short historical introduction: life at Versailles, the political role of appearance, and the trends of the time. You will explore the key elements of 18th-century fashion, including silhouettes, hoops, corsets, colours, luxurious fabrics, and spectacular hairstyles. We will also look at how the queen’s style changed, from very extravagant to simpler looks.
This workshop is suitable for students with B1.4 - C2 level.

This 3-hour workshop offers an engaging introduction to the life of Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel, her influence on fashion, and the key values of the iconic house. Participants will work with authentic materials, including advertisements, interview excerpts, and archival photos, to expand their vocabulary related to fashion, clothing, and style. The workshop concludes with a creative activity exploring the signature elements of the Chanel brand, such as its iconic black and white palette, pearls, and tweed.
This workshop is suitable for students with B1.4 - C2 level.
